Brake Inspection & Repair
If you had to pick one thing your car can’t be without it would be the brakes. A perfect running vehicle that starts on the coldest mornings doesn’t amount to much if you can’t stop safely. D&D Auto recommends we inspect your brakes at least twice per year to monitor the condition and function of all your brake system components, including the condition of your brake fluid. This is a complimentary inspection to keep you safe and aware of how your brake system components are doing, and discuss any recommendations and remaining life expectancy of such components. Timing Belt
The timing belt serves a very important part when it comes to making your engine run. Namely, the timing belt is the belt that controls the camshafts in your engine and keeps the entire operation running smoothly. Note that timing belts are present in engines with overhead cams, and are essential to keep these cams turning at the right time in order to keep the engine running.
Remember that a camshaft is the shaft that opens and closes the intake and exhaust valves in your engine, both letting air in to create combustion, and venting the exhaust that comes from those explosions. A timing belt must be properly calibrated in order to synchronize engine valve openings and closings relative to engine piston position.
Timing belts should be replaced at or before manufacture maintenance schedule intervals in order to avoid serious engine damage and a stranded car in the event the timing belt breaks.
Custom Exhaust Repair
Exhaust systems today are made up of mostly stainless steel but also include components that will still fail. Rather than replace the entire one-piece exhaust system, we can custom repair the failed part of the system by cutting it out and replacing it with an individual component or a custom made one, saving you a significant amount of money.
