Vital Fluids & Filters

For preventive maintenance reasons, VEHICLE FLUIDS should be tested, inspected, and CHANGED if necessary at proper intervals.

A Fluid Flush Service basically means to remove the old fluid and replace it with new or use specialized equipment and cleaners to clean the entire system of accumulated contaminants prior to refilling with new fluids, conditioners, and additives.

Fluid Services due are based on your vehicle owner’s maintenance schedule and our testing, but should be performed whenever contaminants are identified in the system or if a system component is being replaced.

Complete Services Details are listed below

Car & Truck Fluid Flushes

Cooling Fluids Exchange

Coolant System Flush Service

Coolant is depleted of protective buffering ingredients and becomes extremely corrosive, literally eating holes in cooling system components. By-products of corrosion damage, as well as rust and scale, clog the passageways that conduct the water through the radiator and choke off the flow. This may result in an overheated engine that may be damaged beyond repair.

The entire cooling system is cleaned and flushed of all debris. Worn out coolant is completely removed from the system. Fresh new premium coolant is then added. Conditioners are included to prevent rust and corrosion and Cooling System Sealer is also included to prevent leaks.

Transmission Clean and Fluid Flush Service

After about 50,000 Kilometers, transmission fluid begins to show its age as it turns brown in color and oxidizes due to the combination of time and heat. Deposits begin to form around the transmission’s many moving parts, resulting in valves that stick and gears that slip or are sluggish and chatter as they shift.

Rather than just removing the fluid found in the bottom of the pan, the entire transmission is cleaned and replenished with the use of special equipment. The transmission and its torque converter have all of their old contaminated fluid removed while new fluid and premium conditioners are added. One of the hardest working parts of your vehicle will shift smoothly and effortlessly for many more trouble-free miles.

Power Steering Fluid

Power Steering System Clean and Fluid Flush Service

The power steering pump produces high pressure between 800-2000 psi, with high heat. This leads to fluid breakdown and failure. Symptoms include groaning and whining noises, erratic steering and system leaks. A powerful cleaner suspends and dissolves varnish and gums in the power steering system and then the old fluid is replaced in both conventional and rack and pinion steering systems.

The benefit will be a quieter-operating, longer lasting power-steering system.

Brake Fluid System

Brake Fluid System Clean, Flush and Replace

Brake fluid becomes oxidized and contaminated with moisture over time and use. Heat and moisture cause corrosion on parts and brake fluid failure. This causes a spongy brake pedal and shows up in discolored brake fluid. The entire brake system is cleaned and flushed of harmful varnish build-up, and the old brake fluid is replaced with new.

The result will be a longer lasting, more efficient and safer braking system

Differential Fluids

Differential and Transfer Case Fluid Services

Heat, moisture, extreme pressure and loads cause gear oil to break down and become contaminated leading to lubrication failure, worn gears, bearings, and components.  Preventive Maintenance would include removal and replacement of old worn-out lubricant from manual transmissions, front and rear differentials, trans-axles, and transfer cases, Install new gear oil and additive required for vehicle application.

You’ll experience smoother gear-shifting, quieter operation and extended component-life which will reduce major repair costs later due to worn components.

Performance Hot Oil Treatment

Performance Hot Oil Engine Clean and Flush Service

Engines are operating at higher temperatures than ever before. Combined with prolonged drain intervals and reduced engine cooling, automotive engine oil is under a lot of stress. Continuous thermal and oxidative breakdown contributes to oil thickening, heat retention, and deposit formation. These heavy deposits can impede normal piston-ring function; thus reducing fuel economy, lowering power output, and increasing harmful exhaust emissions and oil consumption.

Our Hot Oil Flush Service softens and dissolves hard-to-remove deposits from piston rings in as little as 10 minutes! Properly sealed combustion chambers improve compression and reduce oil dilution through blow-by. A Hot Oil Flush Service cleans micro passageways to maintain the critical hydraulic function of components such as valve train actuators and turbochargers, restores fuel economy, power and prevents excessive oil loss. Excellent for maintenance of gasoline direct injection engines.

Our BG MOA® oil additive included in the service fortifies all qualities of engine oil, providing superior, long-lasting engine protection and maintains peak engine performance, helps prevent engine oil oxidation and thickening under even the most intense driving conditions and keeps engine components clean to extend engine life and reduce the cost of operation.

Fuel Induction System & Fluids

 Fuel System Induction Cleaning Service

Gasoline quality today is inconsistent. When gas at the pump is poor quality, it can cause deposit buildup, inefficient ignition, combustion and poor power output. To make matters worse, small, high output engines are extremely sensitive to deposits that build up on fuel injectors, intake ports, intake valves and in combustion chambers. Even small amounts of deposits cause increased exhaust emissions, reduced fuel economy, drivability problems and engine knock.

Clean fuel systems create better fuel economy, performance, and exhaust emissions.

The Fuel System Induction Service and Fuel Treatment restores performance, restores fuel efficiency, increases power output and reduces exhaust emissions. Book your appointment today!

Cabin Filter Change at D&D Auto

Cabin Filter Check & Replacement

The cabin air filter is typically a pleated-paper filter that is placed in the outside-air intake or in the vehicle’s passenger compartment air inlet duct. Some of these filters are rectangular and similar in shape to the combustion air filter. Others are uniquely shaped to fit the available space of particular vehicles’ air intakes.

Being a relatively recent addition to automobile equipment, this filter is often overlooked. Clogged or dirty cabin air filters can significantly reduce airflow from the cabin vents, reduce defrost efficiency, reduce AC performance as well as introduce allergens and mold into the cabin air stream.

D&D Auto recommends inspecting the cabin air filter at every Service or Seasonal Inspection.
